Sparkling 2004
Pinot noir 50% with chardonnay 50%, a classy Macedon Sparkling light golden straw colour displaying fresh fairy floss aromas, light bread complexity arising from the yeast autolysis. The chardonnay adding to the creamie mouse. Strong acid balanced by the sugar dosage resulting in a balanced wine.
Wooded Chardonnay 2006
Initially lean displaying lemon, grapefruit, nectarine and fig flavours with a fresh mineral character and a long lingering finish. The French oak is restrained. A classy wine with loads of complexity and strong acid structure that will see this wine age gracefully for 5 to 7 plus years.
Pinot Noir 2004
This is a single-minded wine in that classic cherry spectrum with balanced acid and very soft tannins. Its also blessed with only 12% Alcohol, so none of those burns just fruit. Medium Finish. Winemaker John Boucher suggests buying half to drink now and half to put down over the next 3 to 5 years.
Shiraz 2005
Clear red colour gives no hint to the full aroma of freshly stewed plums spice and cedar that greet you in abundance from the long maturation in French Oak. The stone fruits continue on the pallet with fresh tannins balanced with a high alcohol content of 15% There is also a hint of small berry fruit that separates out on the middle palate. The finish is long.
